The first incident is from Matgarhi in Garhwa. On October 13, when Hindus took out a procession, Muslims stopped them saying that ‘this is a restricted route’.
On the evening of 12thOctober, around 7 PM, the immersion procession was heading toward Khaira Temple Lake. During this time, stones were thrown from 2-3 storied houses, causing chaos for a brief period.
Superintendent of Police Uma Prashant has stated that more arrests are expected based on the evidence collected as the investigation progresses.
