Devotees duped online in the name of havan and puja at Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Madhya Pradesh

No action despite complaints to the Police !

Agar Malwa (Madhya Pradesh): Even as discussions continue over the alleged misappropriation of temple donations at the Maa Baglamukhi Temple, fraudsters have now begun operating fake accounts on social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, using the temple’s name and photographs. Through these fake accounts, they claim to perform Mirchi Havan, Vashikaran, special Tantrik rituals, and rituals promising success in obtaining Government jobs, thereby extracting large sums of money from devotees.

Meanwhile, the temple administration has clarified that Mirchi Havan is completely prohibited within the temple premises and that the temple has no association whatsoever with any such online services.

No action despite complaints to the Police !

In June, the Temple Management Committee submitted a written complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Agar Malwa, and the Station House Officer of Nalkheda Police Station, requesting that the fake social media accounts be shut down and that action be taken to prevent the online cheating of devotees. However, no major action has been reported so far.

Theft of women’s jewellery

Every year, lakhs of devotees visit the temple for Darshan and worship. During the Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri festivals in particular, thousands of devotees visit the temple every day. Taking advantage of the heavy rush, anti-social elements have been stealing gold chains and Mangalsutras from women devotees.

Editorial Perspective

Such inaction by the Police and the Government is shameful. Those who remain so insensitive towards preventing such crimes relating to Hindu temples deserve to be imprisoned.
