“The assurance that is given by Uttarkhand Government to free the Chardham and 51 major temples from the Government control is very praiseworthy. Other States also should take such a decision immediately. Else, Vishva Hindu Parishad is prepared to undertake a nationwide movement to free temples from the Government control”.

A special CBI Court in Lucknow acquitted all 32 accused in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case. Those acquitted include senior BJP leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vinay Katiyar, Uma Bharati, Kalyan Singh and Sadhvi Ritambhara.
