Pakistan's demand to the international community

Islamabad (Pakistan) – The Pakistani President and Prime Minister have called upon the international community to support efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions. Pakistan observes the so-called ‘Kashmir Martyrs’ Day’ on July 13th every year with the aim of spreading anti-India propaganda. The above demand has been made in messages given by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari on this occasion.

1. Prime Minister Sharif said that the Government of Pakistan declares its unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We stand in full solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
2. President Asif Ali Zardari said that 9,00,000 personnel of the Indian armed forces are maintaining control over Kashmir and holding Kashmiris hostage.
