China had encroached 6 regions in Ladakh in 2020. In 2022, China retreated from 4 regions. Later, there was Indo-China war in the Galwan valley.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday told the Americans that they should not feel bad when India responds to their comments on its internal affairs.
The Chinese Government is paying ₹21,000 per month for patrolling these villages, which are located at an average altitude of 10,000 feet. Each family is being given approximately more than ₹2 lakh to settle there.
Dr Jaishankar told the Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister to respect the LAC and earlier agreements.
The base is 120 kilometers southeast of the Galwan Valley, where a clash between Indian and Chinese troops occurred in 2020, resulting in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers and 40 Chinese soldiers.
He said friendship and alliances do not break because of threats.
If China wanted to work with India, it would not have engaged in anti-India activities. Hence, India can never work with treacherous China.
China does not need to preach to India about what to do and what not to do.
Since China is treacherous and cunning, such an action is not unexpected. It is necessary for India to always be alert to respond China appropriately.
