“India and China Relations Are Improving !”

Former Army Chief General Manoj Naravane’s Statement

New Delhi – Former Army Chief General Manoj Naravane said that the improvement in India-China relations is a matter of coincidence. It is hoped that China will also respond to our goodwill. Therefore, several initiatives have been announced at political, diplomatic, and military levels to improve relations.

The former Army Chief was present at an event in Delhi on Thursday evening. He expressed happiness that India and China are advancing discussions on the border dispute. Naravane said, ‘It is a boundary, not a border, which is open for dialogue and compromise is possible.’ “It is not that the changes happening in India-China relations and the ongoing dialogue are being imposed on us because of recent incidents. We have always wanted good relations with China”. India and China made several announcements on Tuesday for stable, cooperative, and visionary relations. These include jointly maintaining peace on the border, restarting border trade, increasing investment, and starting direct flights soon. General Naravane stated that the cultures of India and China are centuries old. The past 60 to 70 years are just a small part of that history. The 1962 war affected the relationship; however, such ups and downs are normal and should soon be resolved.

Editorial Perspective

Even though India and China appear to be coming closer due to imposing tariff initiated by the US, it must always be remembered that China is not a country to be trusted.
