
New Delhi – Xu Feihong, Chineses ambassador to India criticised 50% import duty imposed on India by Trump, saying it is unfair and unnecessary. He added, “India and China should jointly face the problem by enhancing economic cooperation. The US is using import duty as a weapon. India and China are two large emerging economies. We will have to face the situation jointly.”
Xu Fei Hong added, an important consensus regarding border has been achieved. On 31st August in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised on cooperation.
Fei Hong said, India and China both have been victimised by terrorism. Both the countries are making efforts to counter terrorism through SCO and BRICS.
