Earlier, Jaishankar met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. In that meeting, he stressed the need to build stable and constructive relations between the two countries. Jaishankar said that border issues should be addressed, and work towards removing barriers to trade as well. Based on mutual respect and understanding, India-China relations can move in a positive direction. China should avoid such steps that can harm India’s manufacturing sector.
