A search operation was also conducted in Yangoubung village of this district. 12 explosives, 4 radio sets, 3 pistols and 1 grenade launcher were seized from there.

President’s rule has been imposed in Manipur. The assembly was adjourned last February after N. Biren Singh stepped down as CM.

Singh had met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the morning. He has been constantly targeted for the ongoing violence in the state for the past one and a half years.
Chief Minister Singh said that in the last 2 years, about 200 people have been killed. 625 accused have been arrested. About 5,600 weapons including explosives have been seized.
It is outrageous that no political party in India is speaking against the killing of Hindus by Christian terrorists in Manipur.
19 BJP MLAs along with some ministers have sent a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office demanding the removal of Chief Minister Biren Singh. According to sources, President’s Rule may be imposed in the state if the situation worsens in the next 2-3 days.
