Criminal case against 11 members of a Christian organisation who claimed that “Hindu is an abusive term, meaning thief, bandit and slave” will not be quashed !

Chhattisgarh High Court ruling

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – The Chhattisgarh High Court has refused to quash the criminal case registered against 11 activists associated with a Christian organisation for publicly stating that “Hindu is an abusive term, meaning thief, bandit, robber and slave.”

The Court observed that the case involves issues which can be decided only after examining the evidence during the full trial. Such issues cannot be decided at the preliminary stage. Therefore, the criminal case cannot be quashed.

The case dates back to February 2024. At that time, controversial and objectionable statements against Hindu Dharma were made at a public meeting in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh. The event was organised by the Bharat Mukti Morcha and the Rashtriya Christian Morcha.
