Enraged locals set fire to oil tankers and a truck; vandalize police outpost

Imphal (Manipur) – Two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 6-month-old girl, were killed, and their mother was injured, when suspected terrorists hurled a bomb at a house in Moirang Thronglaobi in Bishnupur district.
To protest the incident, angry locals staged a violent demonstration. They set fire to two oil tankers and a truck near a petrol pump. They also burned tyres in front of the Moirang Police Station and vandalised a police outpost. Security forces have been deployed in the area to bring the situation under control.
