President Murmu approves ‘Waqf Amendment Bill’
The Union Government has issued a notice about passing of the Bill and will issue a separate notice about the date of implementation of the Bill.
Waqf (Amendment) Bill passed in Rajya Sabha at 2.30 a.m.
This bill will help those Muslims who have been neglected for a long time. For decades, there was a lack of transparency and accountability in Waqf. Consequently, Muslim women and poor Muslims did not get any benefit.
