Washington (USA) – “We are monitoring the situation on the border. We know that there are ongoing discussions between the Governments of India and China. Dialogue is essential for a peaceful settlement of border disputes, which we support; however, we are concerned about threats and intimidation by China to its neighbours”, said Emily J. Horne, the Spokeswoman for the White House in United Nations Security Council.
Journalists asked Horne about China’s efforts to gain control of Indian territory by infiltrating India’s borders, when she replied as above. ‘We will stand with friends, partners and colleagues to maintain peace, prosperity and security in the Indian Ocean region’, added Horne.
