Netanyahu responds to remarks made by the US Vice President

Jerusalem (Israel) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel enjoys tremendous support even from India, a country with a population of 1.4 billion. He made the remarks during an interview with Fox News, responding to recent comments by US Vice President J.D. Vance.

Countering US VP JD Vance's claim that America is Israel's "only powerful ally left," Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Fox News that Israel has many friends.

Vance had recently said,

“US President Donald Trump is sympathetic towards Israel. If I were a member of the Israeli Cabinet, I would never criticise Israel’s only remaining powerful ally, the United States.”

Responding to those remarks, Netanyahu said,

“We have many other friends as well. A country like India, with a population of 1.4 billion, stands with us. We receive tremendous support from India. Even on social media platforms such as Facebook, we receive an overwhelming response from the people of India.”
