Targets 90 Iranian military and naval bases

Tehran (Iran) – The “peace agreement” between the United States and Iran has reportedly broken down, and war has once again erupted in the Gulf. After U.S. President Donald Trump announced the end of the ceasefire, the United States launched a massive missile attack on the strategically important Chabahar Port in south-eastern Iran in the early hours of 9 July. Both countries have continued attacking each other for the second consecutive day, raising fears that the Gulf could once again be engulfed in war.
According to Iranian media reports, several powerful explosions rocked Chabahar on 9 July. Following the attack, the city’s electricity supply was completely disrupted. Local emergency services and ambulances rushed to the scene.
Attack launched to destroy Iran’s capabilities ! – United States
According to the U.S. military, the strikes precisely targeted 90 Iranian military and naval bases. The United States said the operation was aimed at eliminating Iran’s ability to obstruct international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. It further alleged that Iran was responsible for attacks on commercial vessels and innocent crew members travelling through international sea routes.
How did the conflict begin ?
On 7 July, three commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz (the waterway connecting two bodies of water) were attacked by unidentified assailants. The United States directly accused Iran of being behind the attacks. In retaliation, the U.S. launched military action against Iran.
Enraged by the attack, Iran struck U.S. military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and other countries. President Trump has now warned, “We will respond to every Iranian attack with 20 attacks.”
India to suffer a setback !India has signed a 10-year agreement with Iran to develop and operate the strategically important Chabahar Port. The project is worth approximately ₹4,200 crore. If the port suffers extensive damage, India is likely to face a major setback. |
