Old Goa – The grand Shri Goveshwar Mahashiva Temple at Old Goa, envisioned by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharyaji Maharaj, witnessed the solemn and magnificent Pran-Pratishtha and Kalasharohan ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. Hon. Dr Pramod Sawant (Chief Minister of Goa) and his wife performed the religious rituals. After the ceremonies, the Chief Minister formally declared the Temple open for public. Thousands of devotees present in the pavilion expressed their joy with thunderous applause.

The Text ‘Goveshwar Mahima Samhita’, authored by Jagadguru, was released at the Temple by Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharyaji Maharaj said, “This Text presents the history of Goa’s Vedic Sanatan tradition. It comprises 1,400 pages and will serve as an important documentary evidence of Goa’s religious history. It marks a new chapter in Goa’s cultural renaissance”. Jagadguru, Param Pujya Kanifnath Maharaj, and Saints from various Akhadas across the country graced the occasion.

Jagadguru expressed gratitude to all the attendees and made a special mention of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale. He said, “Saints and seekers of Sanatan Sanstha are present here. The mission of Sanatan Sanstha is noteworthy. Param Pujya (Dr) Athavale and I share an old and close association”.

After the release of the Text, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharyaji Maharaj and His successor Param Pujya Kanifnath Maharaj were honoured on behalf of Sanatan Sanstha by Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Nilesh Singbal (One Spiritual Heir of Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Jayant Balaji Athavale), by presenting a shawl, a coconut and a sattvik image of Deity Shiva created by Sanatan.
Referring to the Saints present, Param Pujya Maharaj said, “One understands how radiant Saints are after seeing the Saints of Sanatan”. He inquired about the health of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Balaji Athavale and added, “I greatly appreciate His mission. He has authored numerous Texts to help people understand Dharma. He has visited Nanij twice. During my next visit to Goa, I will come to Sanatan’s Ashram to meet Him”.
