
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Following the theft of devotees’ donations at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has directed that CCTV cameras be installed in all temples across the State. The State Government has taken this decision to prevent similar incidents in temples in Karnataka.

CCTV cameras will be installed in all parts of the temples, including areas where donation boxes are kept and where the donations are counted. The Chief Minister also stated that activities within the temples will be monitored round the clock.
