Temple administration is under the supervision of the district administration

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – The mystery behind the repeated thefts of bells from the famous and ancient Budheshwar Temple, which is administered under the supervision of the district administration, has finally been solved after one of the temple attendants was caught red-handed stealing a valuable brass bell. The incident has triggered widespread anger among devotees.
The accused has been identified as Golu alias Gaurav, who was entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the arrangements for the daily Shringar Aarti at the temple. He allegedly misused this responsibility to commit the theft. The incident has drawn strong condemnation from local residents.
Several brass bells had earlier been stolen from the temple; however, no clues had been found regarding the thefts. Following Gaurav’s arrest, it is now suspected that he may have been responsible for the earlier thefts as well.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Lekhpal Anand Srivastava lodged a written complaint at Para Police Station. Acting on the complaint, the Police registered a case and arrested the accused. Local residents and devotees have demanded that the administration further strengthen security arrangements at the temple premises.
