Following the orders from the Deputy Collector (DC), an illegally constructed madarasa on the Government land was demolished. This action was taken after a complaint was filed by BJP leader Ashish Chaudhary.
In 1906, a registered will was made, and a ‘Thakurdwar’ and Shiva temple were constructed on the site.
After the irregularities got exposed, the Kolkata High Court had ordered cancellation of these appointments; to which Supreme Court issued stay order.
