Attempted robbery in Hanuman Temple at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : Idol desecrated

Police investigated, the citizens have re-consecrated the idol

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – While the whole city was preparing Hanuman Jayanti, at Chirikhana Hanuman Temple in Patil Khora area of Bhavsingpur; there was an attempt to rob the temple, and also desecrate the idol of Hanuman. On getting information about the incident from the Temple priest residents of that area and the Police arrived at the temple. They re-consecrated the Hanuman idol and performed the arati. The matter has been registered at the Chhavani Police station. This incident happened on the 11th of April.

There was a big programme on the 12th April in the temple on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. In the afternoon when the preparations for the occasion were going on that the incident came to light. The primary investigation of the Police showed that the attempt to rob the silver eyes of the idol. There was increase in the police presence in the temple after the incident. On hearing about the incident that the elected MLA from that area Sanjay Kenakar visited the temple. The Maharati was performed in his presence on the 12th of April.

It is a shame that because of the inefficiency of the Police, Hindu temples are getting robbed and the Idols are getting desecrated.
