‘It is our responsibility to provide water and electricity to the Rohingya refugees’ : Farooq Abdullah

Enraging statement of Farooq Abdullah, leader of the ruling National Conference in Kashmir

It is our duty to provide them water and electricity: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – “The Indian Government has brought Rohingya refugees here. We did not bring them here. The Government has settled them here and as long as they are here, it is our duty to provide them with water and electricity,” said Farooq Abdullah, leader of the ruling National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, in support of the Rohingyas. A few days ago, the administration cut off the water and electricity connections provided to the Rohingyas.

A few days ago, the BJP criticized and said that water and electricity connections are being provided to Rohingyas and Bangladeshi refugees in the State of Jammu and Kashmir; because they belong to a particular community and the State Government wants to protect them. Settlement of Rohingya and Bangladeshi refugees in Jammu is a political conspiracy. There should be a CBI inquiry to identify those who allowed this to happen.

Editorial Perspective

This reveals the true mentality of Farooq Abdullah again. Farooq Abdullah, who says that he does not know the oppression of Hindus by Muslims in Bangladesh, but cares about people from his own religion. It’s a shame that people like Farooq Abdullah are accepted in a Hindu majority country.
