Obscene joke by Tamil Nadu DMK Govt Minister on the tilak on forehead of Hindus

Party removes him from the post of Deputy General Secretary

K. Ponmudi, Tamil Nadu Forest Minister and a senior leader of DMK Party

Chennai – Tamil Nadu Forest Minister and a senior leader of DMK Party, K. Ponmudi made an obscene joke at a public function on the Hindu tilak. After this, he was removed from the post of Deputy General Secretary. However, he remains a Minister.  As his words had gone viral on social media, he faced criticism across the State.

What did Ponmudi say ?

At a public function Ponmudisaid a joke, “women, please don’t misunderstand, I have a story to tell. A man goes to a prostitute. She asks him – Are you a Vaishnav or a Shaivaite ? The man is at a loss. She explains what type of tilak do you wear ? Vertical or horizontal ? If you are a Shaivaite your position will be horizontal and if you are a Vaishnav your position will be vertical.”

Why is his office as a minister not taken away ? -BJP

Khushboo Sundar, BJP leader and an actor

BJP leader and an actor Khushboo Sundar criticised the state’s Chief minister Stalin and asked, “Why don’t you have courage to remove Ponmudi from his office as a minister ? Or does your Party enjoy insulting women and Hindu Dharma?

The famous Tamil Nadu singer Chimayi Sripada also criticised and said, “there must be some god or goddess who will punish him and destroy him; however, I doubt whether God exist or not. (Whether God exists or not is a doubt which shows lack of education on Dharma. Hindus are not given education on Dharma. Everyone must face the consequence of his karma (action), if not by man-made laws, then certainly the Divine law (which is, as you sow so you reap) will punish him. If not in this birth, surely in the next birth he will be punished. – Editor)

Editorial Perspectives

  • It is a serious crime to use Hindus’ tilak for an obscene joke when one is holding a ministerial position. Such people must be imprisoned. They must be given severe punishment and Hindu organisations should take the lead in this matter.
  • This is one more example that DMK’s mentality is anti-Hindu, and it is worse than that of the fanatic Muslims.
