Washington (USA) – The United States has simultaneously revoked the legal permits of 900,000 immigrants and ordered them to leave the country immediately. These immigrants had entered the U.S. under the “CBP One App” policy. The Trump administration has reversed this policy and canceled the legal status of these immigrants. As of now, there is no information about the number of Indians affected.
From January 2023 to December 2024, around 936,500 people entered the U.S. via the Mexico border using the CBP One App. They were granted the right to stay and work in the U.S. for two years under a presidential authority known as “parole.” However, the Department of Homeland Security under the Trump administration has now revoked this parole, stating that it is essential to ensure the safety of American citizens and secure the country’s borders.
Those who entered the U.S. through the CBP One App are being notified via email about the revocation of their permits.
