Kabul (Afghanistan) – The rift between the Taliban Government, that came to power in 2021 in Afghanistan, is increasing. The rift is because of differences among them about the power sharing and girls’ education. There is a power struggle between Taliban’s Haqqani-Kandhari groups. And to top it Sirajuddin Haqqani directly threatening the Taliban’s Supreme Leader Akhundzada has added oil to the fire. And to add to all this, the Home Minister of the Taliban Government, Sirajuddin Haqqani has been away from Afghanistan for about a month as also his close associate Mulla Biradar and Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Stanekzai is also out of Afghanistan. Hence there is lot of talk of a change of government in Afghanistan.
