Following a settlement, the accused were caught red-handed while accepting ₹1.40 lakhs.
After the complainant lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, a verification conducted on 14 May revealed that Kotwal Mane had demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 on behalf of Circle Officer Gavit and had agreed to accept it.
He had demanded the bribe to approve pending developmental funds for the Rural Development Department.
The contractor then lodged a complaint with the Raigad Anti-Corruption Bureau, based on which a trap was laid and the accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe.
Khandekar had demanded a bribe from the complainant for clearing the payment related to a construction project. Taking the complaint seriously, the ACB laid a trap and arrested him while accepting the money.
After this a trap was set, and Sunil Jain instructed Vipin to go to ‘Three-G’ school.
