
Jaipur (Rajasthan) – Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer Naval Kishore Meena was arrested by the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh. Babulal Meena, Naval Kishore’s aide, was also arrested in this case. Naval Kishore Meena was working as an ED officer at Imphal in Manipur. Sources of the Rajasthan ACB said that Babulal Meena was acting as a middleman for Naval Kishore and demanding a bribe.
Meena had demanded Rs 17 lakh as a bribe to settle the case of a chit fund company in Manipur. He was caught while receiving Rs 15 lakh from the victim who belongs to this company. A trap was set in Alwar, Rajasthan to catch Meena.
The ACB officials said that recently in Manipur, a complaint was filed against some people for cheating through a chit-fund company. ED officer Naval Kishore Meena and his aide Babulal were demanding a bribe from the victim in exchange for not seizing his property.
