A clerk, after being caught taking a bribe of ₹30 Lakh on behalf of a Police Inspector, arrested

  • Police Inspector Sunil Jain had asked for a bribe of ₹1 crore for dismissing 2 criminal cases

Chandigarh (Haryana) – The Anti-corruption Department of Rohtak caught red handed, a school clerk named Sandeep at Sonipath, taking a bribe of ₹30 Lakh. This amount was being taken on behalf of Police Inspector Sunil Jain, who was working in Delhi Police’s Special Department.

1. Vipin of Sonipath had complained to Anti-Corruption Department. He said that his relative was accused of two crimes in Delhi’s Alipur Police Station. Police Jain was in-charge of the Investigation of these crimes. He was asking my relative for a bribe of ₹1 crore to exclude my relative’s name in the case.

2. After this a trap was set, and Sunil Jain instructed Vipin to go to ‘Three-G’ school. Sandeep the clerk who was present there was given ₹30 Lakhs, it was then that the department took action and arrested Sandeep.

3. ‘Three-G’ school is owned by Sunil Jain’s relatives. Now action will be taken against Sunil Jain as well.

Editorial Perspective

Police who are the supposed to be protectors of law have now turned criminals. The Government should take an initiative in court to get these corrupt Police officers sentenced to death by the courts. Only then it will deter others take bribe.
