Mr Sanjeev Newar : A warrior striving for fundamental intellectual transformation through knowledge and valour

Mr Sanjeev Newar from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is the founder of organisations such as Agni Samaj, Gems of Bollywood, and Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation. In an interview with the OTT platform Prachyam, Mr Sanjeev Newar shared an incident from his interview for admission into the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). When asked by the interviewer, ‘Why do you want to join such a prestigious institute ?’, his response was, ‘To spread the message of the Bhagavad Gita’. Intrigued, the interview panel asked more questions. When they asked, ‘Why not start that work right away ?’, he replied, ‘I don’t want to join IIM for prestige, but because it will help me convey the true essence of the Gita to the most intelligent minds’. Two years later, he graduated from IIM Kolkata.

Special Column

The sacrifice by the soldiers and generals for the Hindavi Swarajya as envisaged by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is supreme. Similarly, in the present times, many devout Hindus and patriotic citizens of this country have been striving to protect the Nation and Dharma. The ‘Warriors of Hindutva’ is a series of articles that sheds light on their life and their struggle to protect Hindu Dharma. We hope that it serves as a catalyst for the mission of establishing Hindu Rashtra and inspires many others. – Editor

1. A scholar who chose Dharma over Data Science

In today’s era of intellectual confusion and discomfort, Mr Sanjeev Newar works with sharp intellect and unshakable willpower. He is an alumnus of both IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and IIM – two of the most prestigious Indian institutions. He had the entire material world at his feet : a promising career in data science, lucrative corporate offers, and the social prestige of high qualifications. (Data science involves collecting, analysing, and uncovering patterns in data using various tools and techniques.) Still, he chose a completely different path – the revival of the Vedas, promotion of Vedic culture, and exposing anti-religious forces.

2. Mr Sanjeev Newar – The voice of Dharma

Mr Newar has led relentless campaigns against deceptive religious conversions, earning him national recognition. He notably raised his voice against Dr Zakir Naik, an anti-Hindu hate preacher who also funds terrorism. Mr Newar cleared misconceptions surrounding Agni Samaj and presented Vedic Dharma with great clarity. Under his initiative, Agni Samaj has developed a strong intellectual and spiritual presence through unique literature, digital campaigns, and by guiding thousands of young minds. Many of these individuals were once drawn to conversion agendas led by figures like Zakir Naik.

3. Focus on ground-level impact

Mr Sanjeev Newar is not just a theorist—he firmly believes change happens through ground-level action. This belief led him to establish the Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation, which has helped rehabilitate hundreds of Pakistani Hindu refugee families. Under his guidance, refugee children received martial arts training and went on to win gold and silver medals in a national karate competition held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, setting a new record.

4. Tech-led revolution in neglected regions

Under Mr Newar’s guidance, the foundation has also made remarkable strides in STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). He led robotics training for Hindu refugee children from Pakistan. Inspired by that success, he extended the initiative to disabled and underprivileged children in Government schools in Sambhal, one of the most backward districts in Uttar Pradesh. In March 2025, students from grades 5 to 8, trained under Mr Newar, secured fourth place among 35 engineering teams at IIT Delhi—an achievement that amazed even seasoned tech mentors.

5. A movement reviving the Vedas

Mr Sanjeev Newar’s vision goes beyond social service. He says, ‘Vedic scholars must guide society in education, ethics, leadership, and innovation’. One of his key initiatives under Agni Samaj is the Veda and Sanskrit Masterclass, reflecting this belief. Using logic, language, and live experiences, Mr Newar teaches ancient scriptures and helps seekers understand Dharma deeply. Thousands have attended these sessions, calling them a transformative milestone in their lives. One student shared on social media : ‘Sanjeevji’s sessions are so enriching that I wish he would speak for two more hours ! There is so much to learn from him’.

Inspired by the supreme knowledge and guiding principles of the Vedas

When asked, ‘What inspired you to undertake such a monumental mission ?’, Mr Newar responded, ‘It was a deep search for truth. Though I was a top student in school, I spent most of my time reading religious texts from different traditions. I was genuinely curious and open-minded about understanding various religions. That journey ultimately led me to the Vedas, where I found supreme knowledge and guiding principles for life. Moksha (liberation) is my ultimate goal. That conviction shapes everything I do—from my personal choices to my mission for the world’.

6. Sanjeev Newar – A force of knowledge, strategy, and valour

Whether it’s decoding Panini’s grammar, mentoring children in marginalised communities, or tearing apart false narratives on national television, Sanjeev Newar is a powerful embodiment of knowledge, strategy, and bravery. He doesn’t just speak for Dharma—he shapes the future of children and youth.

Exposing the anti-national, anti-Hindu face of Bollywood

Mr Sanjeev Newar is also the founder of the cultural movement Gems of Bollywood, which exposed the deep-rooted Hinduphobia, misogyny, and anti-national narratives embedded within India’s biggest film industry.

What began as a social media series soon became a medium of mass awareness. Bollywood elites were forced to face public backlash. Gems of Bollywood stripped the glamour and revealed the ideological chaos hidden in the industry, awakening a generation capable of questioning such narratives.
