As an individual’s spiritual level rises, the vibrations emanating from him also change. These changes occur because the composition of the Panchatattva within him changes in accordance with his spiritual progress. The Table ahead illustrates this principle.
1. An individual’s spiritual level, the predominantly active Panchatattva, and the predominant subtle vibration emanating from his body

Among the Panchatattva – Pruthvi, Apa, Tej, Vayu, and Akash – Akashtattva is of the highest level, that is, the most nirgun (Non-materialised). Therefore, as an individual’s spiritual level rises, he progresses from the sagun (Materialised) to the nirgun state. Then, as his spiritual level increases, he functions increasingly at the subtle dimension.
2. An individual’s spiritual level and the corresponding Saptapatal (The seven lower negative subtle regions of the Universe) and Saptalok (The seven higher positive subtle regions of the Universe)
An individual’s activity in the subtle dimension is reflected in its impact on the subtle regions. As an individual’s spiritual level rises, his sphere of activity is no longer confined to the Bhulok (the Earth region), but extends to the Saptalok and the Saptapatal. The Table ahead illustrates this principle.

3. An analysis of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s spiritual level and the corresponding sagun-nirgun Principle in Him

The following points can be inferred from the above Table about Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale.
3A. 1987 – Spiritual level – 61% : A spiritual level of 61% signifies liberation from the cycles of birth-and-death. At this spiritual level, the subtle vibrations of Shakti are predominant in Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale. Hence, He is in the maximum sagun state.
When an individual attains a spiritual level of 61%, his bhav (Spiritual emotion) awakens. Thereafter, as he progresses on his spiritual journey, his bhav continues to increase.
3B. 1991 – Spiritual level – 70% : At this spiritual level, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale attained Sainthood. As an individual’s spiritual level rises from 61% to 70%, his bhav also increases. So was the case with Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale. At this stage, the subtle vibrations of Shakti in Him reduced. The subtle vibrations of bhav are of a higher level, that is, more nirgun than those of Shakti.
Hence, at the spiritual level of 70%, the sagun vibrations in Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale reduced, while the nirgun vibrations increased. At the spiritual level of 70%, Chaitanya also awakens in an individual.
3C. 1999 – Spiritual level – 84% : One attains the state of a Sadguru at the spiritual level of 80%. As the spiritual level rises from 70% to 80%, the level of Chaitanya in him increases. Hence, at the spiritual level of 84%, the vibrations of Chaitanya in Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale are the highest. Similarly, as one progresses beyond the 80% spiritual level, the vibrations of Anand (Bliss) also begin to increase. Therefore, at the spiritual level of 84%, the proportion of Anand within Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale had also increased, while the proportion of Shakti had reduced considerably.
As the vibrations of Chaitanya and Anand, which are of a higher level, increased, and the vibrations of Shakti reduced considerably, the proportion of the nirgun Principle within Gurudev increased even further.
3D. 2010 – Spiritual level – 91% : An individual attains the state of a Paratpar Guru at the spiritual level of 90%. At the spiritual level of 91%, the proportion of Shakti within Gurudev reduced further. Consequently, the proportion of the nirgun Principle within Him increased even more.
3E. 2016 – Spiritual level – 93% : Beyond the spiritual level of 90%, the subtle vibrations of Shanti (Peace) within an individual begin to increase. Hence, at the spiritual level of 93%, the proportion of Shanti within Gurudev increased slightly. So also, the proportion of the nirgun Principle within Him also increased.
3F. 2022 – ‘Sachchidananda Parabrahman’ State : At this spiritual state, the proportion of Shakti within Gurudev is only 5%. Since this is the minimum proportion of Shakti required to sustain the physical body, it cannot reduce any further. In this state, the proportions of the sagun and nirgun Principles within Gurudev are equal (50% each). Hence, His state is one in which there is no distinction between the sagun and the nirgun. Although His spiritual level had reached 94% in 2021, the subtle vibrations within Him were the same as those corresponding to the state of ‘Sachchidananda Parabrahman’ in 2022. This indicates that the subtle vibrations within Him have reached their maximum state and will undergo no further change.
4. Conclusion
As the spiritual level of Gurudev increased, the composition of the Panchatattva within Him changed correspondingly. As shown in Table 1, the predominant Panchatattva within Gurudev corresponded to His spiritual level at each stage. As His predominant Panchatattva progressed in the order of Pruthvi, Apa, Tej, Vayu, and Akash, the proportion of the sagun Principle within Him gradually reduced, while the proportion of the nirgun Principle increased. Ultimately, in the state of ‘Sachchidananda Parabrahman’, the proportions of the sagun and nirgun Principles within Him became equal (50% each). Hence, seekers experience that, in the case of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, there is no distinction between the sagun and the nirgun. Moreover, at this state, His subtle-level activity extends to the Saptalok and the Saptapatal. It is because of this all-pervasive, subtle-level activity that His mission in the gross dimension is spreading across the world.
