Messages of the Gurus on the occasion of Guru Purnima (29th July)

Give the highest priority to actions for your survival and to sadhana, since a major war is inevitable

A tremendous upheaval is taking place at the global level in today’s times. A World War is inevitable, and the next 5-7 years will witness extremely severe war-like conditions everywhere. This period is, in a way, a sandhikal (Transition period).

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale

For the past 20 years, Sanatan Sanstha has been saying that the future will witness extremely adverse times. This difficult period will now have to be experienced by everyone.

What preparations should be made in advance to survive and endure life during this crisis ? What sadhana (Spiritual practice) should be performed ? Sanatan Sanstha has been providing guidance on these aspects from time to time through Texts, Periodicals, Websites, and other mediums. This guidance is not merely for reading; the right time to put it into practice has now arrived. Therefore, without any delay, give the highest priority to actions necessary for your survival. Also, keeping in mind that during the adverse times God protects only His devotees, perform intense sadhana and become a firm devotee of God !

For the past 5-7 years, especially since the period of the coronavirus pandemic, sampatkal (Favourable period) has ended and apatkal (Adverse times) has begun. From last year onwards, that is, since the India–Pakistan war, the adverse times have commenced.

The rules of every period are different. Entertainment, travel, employment, and business receive priority during sampatkal; but, during a period of war priority must be given to fulfilling national duties, making efforts for survival, and performing sadhana.

Sadhana performed during sandhikal (Transition period) yields the benefit of many years of sadhana within a short period. Therefore, if you focus on sadhana in the next 5-7 years of difficult times, you will obtain immense spiritual benefit and Divine protection.

During this period of severe war, it is essential not to think only of oneself, but also to protect sattvik (Spiritually pure) Hindus (jivas [Embodied souls] doing sadhana) in society. In such difficult circumstances, making sincere efforts for their survival will itself be the true samashti sadhana (Spiritual practice for the spread of Spirituality) of this period.
