Note 1 – In this Table, the classification has been done as per the type of mission that predominated in a particular period. For example, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (Gurudev) has been referred to by different honorific titles as per the mission predominantly carried out by Him in a specific period.

Note 2 – Sanatan Sanstha’s mission entering the level of the Akashtattva in 2024 : ‘If viewed in the context of the Five Cosmic Principles, Sanatan Sanstha’s mission began in 1999 at the level of the Pruthvitattva (Absolute Earth Principle).

Sadguru (Dr) Mukul Gadgil

Then, by functioning for approximately 5 to 6 years at each levels of the Principles (Pruthvi, Apa [Absolute Water], Tej [Absolute Fire], Vayu [Absolute Air] and Akash [Absolute Ether]), Sanatan Sanstha entered the level of the Akashtattva in 2024. As gross-level testimony to this, in accordance with the mention made by Maharshis in the Nadipattis, a bell, which is symbolic of sound, was installed in Sanatan Ashram at Ramnathi (Goa) in 2024.’

– Sadguru (Dr) Mukul Gadgil (February 2024)

Note 3 – Divine Particles : These Particles, which appear in many colours – golden and silver – on the bodies of sattvik (Spiritually pure) individuals and at sattvik places, were analysed at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

As per tests conducted at IIT Mumbai, these Particles were found to contain Carbon, Nitrogen and Oxygen. The formulae derived from the proportions of these elements do not match the formulae of any Particle currently known. Hence, it is evident that these Particles are novel in nature. Seekers refer to these Particles as Divine Particles. (Ref.: Sanatan website – Sanatan.org)

Note 4 – God sending jivas to Sanatan Sanstha from all Paths of Yoga, for whom samashti sadhana is essential for spiritual progress, so that they may learn samashti sadhana : Nothing happens in the Universe without God’s wish. From the subtle perspective, there are millions of Universes, which God sustains.

At this moment, some Universes are in Satyayug, some in Tretayug, some in Dwaparyug and some in Kaliyug. As per a jiva’s destiny and yearning for sadhana, God grants it birth in a Universe where a particular Era is in progress. Jivas for whom samashti sadhana (Spiritual practice for the spread of Spirituality) is necessary for spiritual progress are born in Kaliyug when Saints, who impart the teaching of samashti sadhana are on Earth.

Generally, God sends to a Guru those jivas who belong to the same Path of spiritual practice in which the Guru Himself performed sadhana. Although Gurudev is a practitioner of Gurukrupayoga (Path of Guru’s grace) and Jnanyog (Path of Knowledge), He has transcended even that stage. Therefore, God is sending not only practitioners of Gurukrupayog and Jnanyog, but jivas from all Paths of Yoga to Sanatan Sanstha so that they learn samashti sadhana.

This is a unique spiritual characteristic of Sanatan Sanstha.

Note 5 –

1. The process by which God entrusts Saints with the responsibility for a jiva’s spiritual progress :

God is the sustainer of the entire Universe and functions as per a specific model. Therefore, for the spiritual progress of particular jivas, He entrusts their responsibility to a particular Guru.

Let us understand this process through the example of a University, a school and students.

In the present phase of Kaliyug, some schools provide primary education, some primary and secondary education, while others provide education at all levels from the primary to the higher secondary. Suppose a school provides only primary education but wishes to provide primary and secondary education within the next few months. In such a case, the school must submit a request to the relevant University.

After thoroughly assessing the school’s capability in every respect, the University grants it permission for secondary education. If students pass the examinations conducted by the University, the school is deemed suitable. In short, it is the University that grants a school permission to admit students as per its capability.

God acts in a similar manner in the subtle dimension. The Divine University in the form of God continuously examines and tests the capability of the spiritual school represented by Saints or Gurus in order to decide which jivas should be entrusted to which Gurus (Saints). Accordingly, God sends different jivas to different Gurus. His objective is the spiritual progress of the jiva.

2. God sending to Sanatan Sanstha jivas of progressively higher spiritual levels is Sanatan’s spiritual success :

In the case of Sanatan Sanstha, God first sent those who had an intellectual curiosity to understand Spirituality through the mind and intellect.

Thereafter, He sent those who had deep impressions of sadhana from previous births, and later Divine children and Saint-children. A noteworthy aspect of this is that the spiritual level of the jivas whom God is sending to Sanatan to learn sadhana is progressively increasing. This clearly indicates that Sanatan has developed, and continues to develop the ability to guide and spiritually uplift jivas of all spiritual levels, from lower to higher. This is Sanatan’s greatest success.

Note 6 – Sanatan accomplishing many records unprecedented in the entire period of Creation :

During the 25 years of its mission, Sanatan has achieved many milestones.

1. Generally, jivas suffering from severe distress caused by negative energies spend 5 to 10 births merely in reducing that distress. During those births, they are unable to progress spiritually. In contrast, many Sanatan seekers who suffered from severe distress caused by negative energies have nevertheless progressed spiritually.

2. In no Scripture written so far, from Satyayug till today, is there any mention of the efforts for awakening bhav or the concept of samashti bhav. Sanatan has discovered many such concepts and established their existence.

3. Saints who lived till now were not born Saints. These great Saints attained Sainthood only after performing sadhana for some time under the guidance of their Gurus. In contrast, jivas who were born at the spiritual level of Saints have now taken birth in order to perform samashti sadhana and to administer the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.

Gratitude and prayer

Regarding Sanatan Dharma, the Scriptures say – ‘सनातनो नित्यनूतनः।’ (Sanatano Nitya-nutanaha – Meaning : That which is eternal, beginningless and yet ever-new, is called Sanatan). In Sanatan Sanstha, which carries this Sanatan aspect, new and Divine developments related to sadhana and Spirituality take place at every moment. Millions of salutations in gratitude unto the Holy feet of Shri Guru for having included us in this Divine and Chaitanya-enriched Universe. A prayer at the Holy feet of Shri Guru that this same divinity is experienced by sattvik people everywhere.

  • Subtle : The gross (physical) aspects of an individual are the five sense organs - the nose, ears, eyes, tongue and skin. These five senses, beyond the mind and intellect, are ‘subtle’. These ‘subtle’ sensations are felt by some people who have advanced in their spiritual practice. Various Scriptures contain references to subtle knowledge.
  • Seeing, hearing in the subtle, etc. (Receiving knowledge through the five subtle sense organs) : The subtle vision of some seekers is awakened; meaning, they can perceive what the physical eyes cannot see; some seekers can hear sounds or words in the subtle.
  • Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in Sanatan Prabhat are according to the Principle - ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences.
