Shri Rajamatangi Mahayajna in Mumbai for the protection of the Nation

Mumbai – The city of Mumbapuri (Mumbai), from where Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale began the mission of propagating Dharma, resonated with the chanting of Vedic mantras on Adhik Jyeshtha Shukla Pratipada (17th May 2026).

Praying to the Goddess to protect the Nation

Among the Dashamahavidyas manifested from the wrath of Adishakti Devi Sati, Matangi Devi holds a unique position. Devi Matangi is regarded as the Chief advisor of Adishakti. Worship of this Goddess proves beneficial for victory over enemies and overcoming adverse situations. Even during the Incarnation of Prabhu Shriram, the Principle of Rajamatangi Devi was active, due to which ideal Ram Rajya could be established. The main objective of this Mahayajna was that India be protected through the blessings of the same Divine power. During the Mahayajna, collective prayers were offered to Shri Rajamatangi Devi for the all-round development and protection of India.

Under the Divine grace of Mumbai’s revered Deity, Shri Siddhivinayak, a golden chapter was added to the history of Sanatan Sanstha. A grand and spiritually uplifting ‘Shri Rajamatangi Mahayajna’ was performed in an environment filled with devotion and auspiciousness at the Nardulla Tank Ground.

This is how the Yajna ceremony was conducted

The Shri Rajamatangi Mahayajna commenced on 17th May with the worship of Shri Mahaganapati. Then, Punyahavachan and the resolve for the Mahayajna were done. At that time, all the devotees present made a collective resolve. Thereafter, in a devotional atmosphere, the Goddess was invoked through Lalita Trishati Kumkumarchan. Subsequently, oblations were offered in the Yajna with the Mul-mantras of Shri Rajamatangi Devi. After the recitation of Mala Mantra, Gayatri Mantra, Homa and Parayan, Shri Ganapati was worshipped through Shri Ganapati Homa. After the Homa of Shri Rajamatangi and the family Deities, Homa was performed while reciting the 7th chapter of Devi Saptashati, after which the Mahapurnahuti was completed in the prescribed manner.

Experienced the Divine Mahapurnahuti

The moment of Mahapurnahuti arrived while the devotees were immersed in the environment filled with Chaitanya due to the bhav-enriched priestly responsibilities performed by Shivagam Vidyanidhi Agamacharya Shri. Arunkumar Gurumurthy (from Erode, Tamil Nadu), the Chief priest of the Yajna – Shri. Gurumurthy Shivacharya, in the presence of Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil. After offering sari, auspicious substances and Vasordhara to Shri Rajamatangi Devi, everyone experienced the Divine Mahapurnahuti in that Chaitanya-enriched environment. All the devotees felt as though the Goddess Herself had manifested there.

In the Divine presence of the Goddess Principle, Mahadip Aradhana and Upcharpuja were performed. The ritual concluded with the collective recitation of Mahishasurmardini Stotra. The devotees carried in their hearts the Chaitanya-filled Prasad of the Yajna and the Divine spiritual experience of the Goddess Principle.

  • Subtle : The gross (physical) aspects of an individual are the five sense organs - the nose, ears, eyes, tongue and skin. These five senses, beyond the mind and intellect, are ‘subtle’. These ‘subtle’ sensations are felt by some people who have advanced in their spiritual practice. Various Scriptures contain references to subtle knowledge.
  • Seeing, hearing in the subtle, etc. (Receiving knowledge through the five subtle sense organs) : The subtle vision of some seekers is awakened; meaning, they can perceive what the physical eyes cannot see; some seekers can hear sounds or words in the subtle.
  • Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in Sanatan Prabhat are according to the Principle - ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences.
