Kerala election results and their implications for Hindutva politics.

Why the BJP Struggled to Expand in Kerala Despite Christian Outreach

Key Takeaways

  • BJP won three seats in Kerala.

  • Christian outreach did not translate into significant electoral gains.

  • Voting patterns indicate strong opposition to the BJP’s growth.

  • The election may influence future BJP strategy in the state.

BJP’s Performance in the 2026 Kerala Elections

The results of the 2026 Legislative Assembly elections in Kerala are a harbinger to the followers of Sanatana Dharma- the Christians in the State are out to destroy and demolish the Hindus in general and the Sanatana Dharma in particular. The voting pattern in the recent election shows that the Christians, Muslims, Communists and the Congress are unanimous in their stance that the BJP should not be allowed to grow in the State. The three seats won by the BJP out of the 140 constituencies where it contested are proof that the Hindutva party could win only in constituencies where the Christians and Muslims have negligible presence. Nemam, a suburb near the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kazhakoottam in Thiruvananthapuram district and Chathanoor in Kollam district are the constituencies from where the BJP candidates could scrape through with narrow margins, thanks to the hard work put in by RSS swayamsevaks.

Did Christian Outreach Help the BJP?

Though the BJP had fielded many Christians, and that too disproportionate to their presence in the party, none of them could make any impact in the election. Organisations like Christian Alliance for Social Action (CASA), which were launched to protect Christian girls from the evil eyes of Islamic extremists and  Jihadi Romeos, made a strategic withdrawal from the campaign works, and many of them threw their weight behind the Congress-led United Democratic Front.  Prof. K.S. Radhakrishnan, former vice chancellor of Sree Sankara Sanskrit University, who was deputed by the BJP leadership for a “Christian outreach” program, is visibly upset and disappointed. “We went out of the way to placate the Church leaders like padres, vicars, bishops and cardinals. They had only a few demands, which included unfettered freedom to convert the Hindus into Christians, the release of illegal funds they receive from evangelical organisations across the world and governorship for all Christian leaders whose names they recommend. Even the vergers had their demands,” said Prof Radhakrishnan.

Christian Political Influence in Kerala

It may be remembered that the Vatican and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) played major roles in subverting the Morarji Desai-led Janata Party government at the Centre from preventing it from passing the Freedom of Religion Bill in 1978. Even Theresa, portrayed as the mother of destitutes and sex workers, came out in the open and staged a daylong fast to oppose the Bill. Kerala is no stranger to the subversion tactics of the Vatican and the CIA. The 1959 Liberation Struggle in the State held to unseat the democratically elected government led by E M S Namboothirippadu was entirely funded by the CIA and the Vatican. Lonappan Nambadan, a devout Catholic who led the Liberation Struggle in 1959 at Thrissur, has mentioned in his autobiography “A Travelling Believer” that an amount of Rs 1.4 million was pumped into the State as US Dollars to meet the expenses of the agitation during January 1959 to July 1959. This is a filthy big amount during those days when rice cost hardly 20 paise per kilogram. Those who took part in the Liberation Struggle were taken to a city by the name of Ko in Switzerland, where they were entertained with all good things in life at the five-star boarding house of the Moral Rearmament Movement, a Christian evangelical organisation, writes Nambadan. Those were the days when Communism was anathema to the US as well as the Vatican. The hatred has taken a U-turn over the last six decades, and the US imperialists want Sanatana Dharma to be eliminated once and forever from the face of the earth.

Historical Context Behind the Debate

The Church in India is an essential part of the Deep State, which has been functioning to demolish the BJP Government at the Centre. A look at the faces of the Catholic and Orthodox bishops and cardinals is sufficient to understand the virulent hatred the Christians have for the Hindus and the BJP. The Muslims have already made it clear that not even a single member of their community would vote for the BJP even if the Hindutva party showers them with gold.

There are Arch Bishops and Cardinals in India who are known by the honorific titles like Valsyayanas and Casanovas. They need millions of rupees and Hindu girls for their avaricious carnal desires. The sooner the BJP central leadership understands the evil intentions of the bishops and cardinals, the better. The Church in India is equally dangerous as Lashkar-e- Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Popular Front of India, and Jamaat-e-Islami. The Church leaders are no different from the Islamic terrorists. Some of the preachers, like John Dayal, are more dangerous than the Islamic despots as they are specialists in the smooth demolition of Sanatan Dharma. The Catholic Bishops Council of India and the evangelists are the main source of funds for the Maoists and urban Naxalites.

There is only one reason behind the public stance taken by fringe outfits like CASA. They want the organisational support of the BJP in their fight against Islamists who have established a commanding position in Kerala’s business, trade and industries. The Christians knew well that they could not take on the Muslims single-handedly, and that is the main reason behind the fake show of affection showered on the BJP by the Christian fringe elements. The best example is the case of tycoon M A Yusuf Ali, who owns a network of enterprises in India and West Asia. Though the Christians employed many techniques and tricks to discredit him, Ali bhai faced it with boldness. The Christian fringe elements and the social media groups owing allegiance to them spread reports that Yusuf Ali was employing Hindu girls in shopping malls owned by him and making them victims of Love Jihad. It may be true that  Yusuf Ali had employed girls as sales staff and counter-in-charge in his Lulu Shopping Malls. How can he be held responsible if these girls elope with Islamic youth as part of Love Jihad? The Christian elements exploited the Hindu sentiments and turned them against a businessmen like Ali. But when it was time for assembly and Lok Sabha elections, elements like CASA performed vanishing tricks under the pretext that they were not summoned for electioneering work. The truth is that these disgruntled elements never wanted the mainstream politicians to know that they were on the wrong side of the fence. The best option for the Christians (whether it is the Catholics, Orthodox, CSI or Evangelists) is to be with the Congress, which is their natural ally. The AICC (All India Congress Committee) has become the All India Christian Committee, and the Congress Working Committee has turned out to be the Christian Working Committee.

While working as a research scholar in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, my guide and mentor Prof G M Nair, had told me about the ingenious nature of Kerala’s Christians. “They have all the talents in the world and are capable of developing claims and counterclaims to suit the occasion,” Dr Nair, a leading analytical chemistry scientist, had said. True to his observation, many Christians have come forward post-2014 with claims that they were groomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval! They have succeeded in convincing the Prime Minister that they owe their success to the latter. Do you know the “great” contribution made by one such Christian to the Hindutva cause? He used to be the physiotherapist to late P Parameswaran, founder chairman of Bharatiya Vichara Kendra, a think tank of the RSS.

The adage is that success has many fathers while failure is an orphan. The Christians in Kerala are capable of going to any extent to bring the entire nation under their control. If you disagree with this, please try to make any Christian speak in support of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act Bill or against the law banning religious conversions. The fact is that there is no Christianity without foreign contributions and religious conversions.

Conclusion

The Kerala Christians who have joined the Hindutva outfit have an agenda, and that is to destroy and demolish Sanatana Dharma. The Abrahamic religions, like Christianity and Islam, do not allow idolatry, and the question of why the followers of the Bible and the Quran join the party of idol worshippers remains unanswered. It has been established beyond doubt by the Police that it was Christians who set the Sabarimala Temple, the shrine of Lord Ayyappa, on fire, which resulted in the devastation of South India’s most ancient temple in May 1950. Though the police had identified the perpetrators of the crime, no action was taken against them because they were Christians. The Church itself had tried to “ swallow” the entire hill and forests around the famous shrine, claiming that the entire region belonged to the Christian community.

The followers of Sanatan Dharma should bear in mind that the Christians and Muslims are not their friends or well-wishers. They seek the BJP’s patronage only when they face serious allegations and when they need favours from the Centre.
