Demand to rename Firozabad as Chandrawar !
Historically, this region was not known as Firozabad but as ‘Chandrawar’, which was the capital of King Chandrasen. Therefore, there is a rising demand to restore its original name, and the proposal is currently pending with the government.
The unique feature of the ‘sweating’ Hanuman temple !

Among these five temples, the Paseenewale Hanuman temple stands out for a distinctive and fascinating feature. Devotees share an age-old account behind the origin of its name. Located on the tranquil banks of the Yamuna river, Chandrawar village still preserves this mystery. According to devotees, the kumkum applied to the Idol of Deity Hanuman becomes moist instantly.
Locals believe this phenomenon is not only unique but also a sign of Deity Hanuman’s living presence at this sacred spot. The temple is believed to be around 2,000 years old. According to its mahants, there was a time when the Idol perspired so much that devotees would collect the droplets and take them home as prasad. They say this is a testament to the extraordinary spiritual power of this land.
