Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale
  • Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale founded the Sanatan Sanstha with the primary aim of spreading Spirituality, imparting education on Dharma to Hindus, and creating awareness in society about the need to serve the Nation & Dharma.
  • Inspired by His mission, other Organisations such as the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti came into existence. Today, the scope of these Organisations has expanded significantly. We present here an excerpt from the Biography of that great Being – Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Balaji Athavale (addressed respectfully as ‘Gurudev’), which throws light on the significance of His extraordinary effort.

1. The Indian Society for Clinical Hypnosis and Research : On 1.1.1982, Dr Jayant Athavale founded ‘The Indian Society for Clinical Hypnosis and Research’, affiliated with the ‘International Society of Hypnosis’. Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha : In 1991, while residing in Nashik, Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj instructed Dr Athavale to carry out the mission of imparting education on Spirituality and its spread under the aegis of Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti Sanstha. Accordingly, Dr Athavale founded this Sanstha on 1.8.1991.

Dr Athavale’s clinic in Mumbai became the first centre of this Sanstha

It is essential to sacrifice the body, mind, and wealth to progress in Spirituality. Realising this Principle, in 1993, I offered the premises of my clinic (3 rooms) (Note) at Sion, Mumbai to my Guru, Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj. Since then, full-time seekers dedicated to Sanatan’s mission started residing there.
