Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh) – It has come to light that large-scale conversion is taking place here under the guise of ‘Upchar Sabha’ (Healing Session). A reporter from a National Hindi newspaper has come forward with shocking information along with evidence, after posing as a patient and attending an alleged ‘Upchar Sabha’ run by Christians.
‘Upchar Sabhas’ are organised by Christians under the guise of providing health improvement of rural women, as well as mental and financial benefits. In reality, innocent Hindus are instilled with the idea that only Lord Jesus is Almighty. All Idols and pictures of (Hindu) Deities are imaginary. Due to this, Hindus are gradually removing Idols and pictures of Deities from their homes, the reporter informed. Hindu organisations say that 20% Hindus in more than 200 villages in the District have been trapped into Christian conversion.
1. The concerned reporter pretended to be sick and attended a healing session. Pastor Nathu Ahirwar told him, “The disease will be cured through prayer. To get cured, attend the healing session every Sunday”. A video has also surfaced of him saying this.
2. The reporter said that when he spoke to some people who attended the session, he found that all had removed the Idols and pictures of Hindu Deities from their homes.
3. He said that at another session held in Chandlanagar in Chhatarpur District, more than 200 people from 30 villages were present. Of them, an estimated 180 were Hindus till 5 years ago; but now they are worshipping Jesus Christ.
A woman attending the healing session told the reporter, “The Christian priest has clearly told us that the disease will be cured only when we say goodbye to the Hindu Deities”.
| Editorial Perspectives :
Christian organisations which deny that Christians convert gullible Hindus should now be questioned over this incident. It is shameful for the Police that such a situation exists in the District despite the anti-conversion law in Madhya Pradesh. |
