Catholic Sabha demands before Karnataka Chief Minister

Udupi (Karnataka) – A delegation from the Udupi and Mangaluru units of the Catholic Sabha met Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and demanded that Legislative Council Member Ivan D’Souza be appointed as a Minister to represent the Christian community.

The delegation stated that Ivan D’Souza has represented the Christian community in the coastal region and has served two terms as a Member of the Legislative Council. He has also served as the Chief Whip in the Legislative Council and has held various responsibilities in the Christian Development Corporation.
According to the memorandum submitted by the delegation, the Christian community made a significant contribution to the Congress Party’s electoral victory. It further stated that the Christian community supported the Congress Party in elections across 22 districts of the State.
