1. The relation between Dharma and the Nation
Dharma is the life-force of a Rashtra (Nation). The structure of a Rashtra depends on the Dharma-satta (Spiritual authority). Only when Dharma is awakened, the Rashtra is active; likewise, when Dharma is safeguarded, the Rashtra too remains protected from all directions. Thus, there is a firm connection between Dharma and the Rashtra.
2. Relation of the four Purusharthas (Four basic pursuits of life) of Dharma with the Rashtra
The four pillars and the four Purusharthas of Dharma are – Dharma (Righteousness), Artha (Material gain), Kama (Desire) and Moksha (Final Liberation). Dharma is based on these four pillars and manifests through these four thought streams as follows :

Note 1 – Peetha means a seat or centre. When a specific energy is required to perform a specific action, it is termed a Peetha.
Note 2 – Dharmalok : This Region lies between the Superior Swargalok (Heaven, the third region of the seven subtle positive regions) and Maharlok (The fourth higher positive subtle region). It is inhabited by those who have lived a life of intense Dharma-abidance or have sacrificed themselves for the protection of Dharma.
Note 3 – Golok : This is the sagun (Materialised) Krushnalok (Abode of Shrikrushna) situated in Maharlok. It is the abode of righteous souls who were Shrikrushna devotees in the form of cows in Gokul.
4. Meaning of ‘धर्मेण जयति राष्ट्रम् ।’(Dharmena Jayati Rashtram)’
When there is an internal revolt or when an external enemy attacks the Nation, anarchy spreads. To bring this Nation under control, it is essential for the spiritual authority to keep the ruling power in check. On the strength of Dharma, the situation of disorder and unrest can be quickly brought under control, the Nation can be protected from internal as well as external enemies, and the Nation can be victorious in the true sense.
5. When Bharat obtains spiritual strength of Dharma and becomes a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, the era of Dharma will once again begin on Earth
This is the current state of Bharat. To restore its past glory, Bharat must be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. The 83rd Birth Anniversary of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm, by laying the foundation of eternal Hindu Dharma in Bharat and thus establishing its rule. During this celebration, Shri Vishnu Principle was transmitted into the Universe infinitely through Him. As a result, seats of the Shri Vishnu Principle in the form of Dharmapeetha (Seat of Dharma), Shaktipeetha (Seat of Divine Energy), Chaitanyapeetha (Seat of Divine consciousness) and Jnanpeetha (Seat of Knowledge) manifested in Bharat. This spiritual strength of Dharma will help Bharat arise as the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ and usher in a new era of Dharma on Earth ! Hence, the slogan ‘धर्मेण जयति राष्ट्रम् ।’ uttered by Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale will prove to be a Brahmavakya (Divine proclamation).
In a similar manner, Adya Shankaracharya had united the entire Bharat as a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Under the guidance and leadership of Arya Chanakya, Chandragupta Maurya united the many fragmented States of Bharat and established a unified ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Samartha Ramdas Swami too established the Hindavi Swarajya through Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
