Special Column

The sacrifice by the soldiers and generals for the Hindavi Swarajya as envisaged by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is supreme. Similarly, in the present times, many devout Hindus and patriotic citizens of this country have been striving to protect the Nation and Dharma. The ‘Warriors of Hindutva’ is a series of articles that sheds light on their life and their struggle to protect Hindu Dharma. We hope that it serves as a catalyst for the mission of establishing Hindu Rashtra and inspires many others. – Editor

1. Advocate Krishnamurthy’s inspiration for working in the cause of Hindutva

Since childhood, I used to hear stories of the Ramayan and Mahabharat from elders. Once I learned to read and write, I read stories of great personalities and freedom fighters. From a young age, I was drawn to Hindutva and the cause of the Nation and Dharma. I believe it was the will of God and the grace of my Guru that drew me to the service of Hindutva.

2. Advocate Krishnamurthy P’s selfless service for Hindutva

a. Winning Court cases for devout Hindus

Advocate Krishnamurthy is actively involved in legal advocacy for Hindutva causes. Once, during Tipu Sultan Jayanti celebrations in Madikeri, riots broke out and many Hindus were falsely implicated. He took up their case in Court and won it. Whenever Hindutva activists face legal trouble, he is always ready to assist them.

b. Willingness to sacrifice for the cause of Hindutva

In the course of his work, he often has to travel by car from Madikeri to Bengaluru or other places for legal matters. He never charges anyone for travel expenses and bears the cost himself as a personal sacrifice.

He also personally delivers food grains and essential items to needy Hindu activists. Once, when a leader of a cow shelter requested help, he promptly extended support.

“By the Grace of Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Athavale, I escaped death twice”

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale (Founder, Sanatan Sanstha)

1. After a Court hearing in one case, I was traveling to Bengaluru with my colleague. Suddenly, a truck came from behind and hit our car with great force. The left side of our vehicle was completely ripped apart. The accident was so severe that anyone who saw the car would have assumed that no one inside could have survived. However, due to the grace of Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Athavale, both my colleague and I were safe. This experience made me realise that we must always remain in the state of Bhav for God.

2. I am also fighting on behalf of the suspected accused in the case of the alleged murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh. In 2023, I was shot at by some unidentified assailants. The attackers fired at me from such close range that survival seemed impossible. It is only due to the grace of Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Athavale that I survived.

3. Advocate Krishnamurthy – Humble and egoless in his Court conduct

a. When a client entrusts a case to Krishnamurthy, they need not worry further; he handles everything with initiative and personal care.

b. Despite his deep knowledge of law and Dharmakarya, he never comes across as arrogant or superior. He speaks humbly with everyone and attentively listens to the views of junior advocates. His humility and support inspire and uplift his colleagues. In Court, when he presents arguments, the entire Courtroom falls silent. Judges listen to him respectfully and treat him with honour, as do others present.

4. Advocate Krishnamurthy – Living with the belief that “Everything happens by God’s will”

Advocate Krishnamurthy remains calm and positive in every situation. Once, he travelled 275 km from Madikeri to Bengaluru for a Court hearing, but the judge was absent, and the session was cancelled. He showed no disappointment. When his colleagues asked if he wasn’t upset, he replied, “Everything happens by God’s will.”Even during adverse situations at home, he maintains peace and positivity.

5. Advocate Krishnamurthy – A Seeker with deep devotion to Saints

a. Krishnamurthy practices Deity name chanting and prayer daily. He says that no matter where he is, his chanting continues without interruption—even during travel or in Court.

b. He often speaks with deep emotion about Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Athavale. The mere mention of “Gurudev” evokes a devotional state so intense that he becomes speechless. He often says, “Every action I perform is not mine; it is Gurudev who acts through me.”

c. He met Sanatan Sanstha’s H.H. Ramananda Gowda, and during their 20-minute conversation, he experienced spiritual emotion and could not speak.

A message for advocates who love the Nation and Dharma

In matters related to the Nation and Dharma, advocates must take bold and decisive action as ‘Sadhak’ (seeker) or ‘Hindu’ advocates.

We must rise above self-interest and unite all Hindu organisations to strive toward the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra. To achieve this, we should understand the judicial system and use it effectively. Advocates must act courageously and decisively in cases concerning the Nation and Dharma.

Our faith in God should be so strong that even in times of crisis, we are confident that God will help us. The God is our true master. A devotee of God need not worry. Court work should be performed while continuously chanting God’s name. When we carry out our duties chanting God’s name, He empowers us. This brings the inner experience that God is always with us. When legal practice is combined with spiritual practice, our work gains momentum and success follows. One must first pray to God before leaving home. Through spiritual practice, one experiences the constant presence of God. We must fight our legal battles as ‘Sadhak Advocates’ and ‘Hindu Advocates’.
