Punjab Inspector General of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar stated that two suspects on a two-wheeler were captured on CCTV footage, and efforts are underway to track them down. He mentioned that Pakistani agencies are inciting youth from poor families to carry out such acts. Recent incidents have made it clear that ISI is targeting the weaker sections of society. Bhullar urged the youth not to get influenced or tempted by money, warning that they will have to face the consequences of such actions.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann condemned the attack, stating that there are constant attempts to create unrest in Punjab. However, he assured that the police are taking swift action against such anti-social elements and that peace, harmony, and brotherhood will be maintained in Punjab at all costs.
