Hindus now expect the Union Government to implement UCC nationwide
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – In a historic move, Uttarakhand has become the first State in India to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), effective from 27th January. Previously, only Goa had such a law, which was introduced during Portuguese rule.

He assured that all necessary preparations have been completed, including the approval of the Act’s rules and the training of relevant officials. In a post on X, he said, “The UCC is a significant offering from our State, contributing to the vision of PM Modi for a developed, organized, harmonious, and self-reliant Nation”.
