Mahant and Naga Sadhu Kanhaiya Das of the famous Hanuman Garhi temple was bludgeoned to death on April 3 at night by unidentified attackers. His body was found in the gaushala of the Charanpaduka temple. Kanhaiya Das was also the Mahant of Gulchaman Baag of Basantia Patti.
A carpenter named Gulfam who was working since the last one and half months at Dr. Harsh Agarwal’s residence at Gomatinagar killed the doctor’s wife, Ruchi Agarwal. Gulfam had asked Ruchi Agarwal to lend him some money.
