A 15-year-old minor raped by 18 people for nine days In Kota

Kota (Rajasthan) : A 15-year-old girl from Kota was taken to Jhalawar and gang-raped several times by over 18 people for 9 days.  She was drugged to keep her intoxicated during the ordeal. When she complained of pain and tried resisting she was beaten up and threatened with dire consequences. 20 people, including four minors, have been arrested in the case.

A woman and her partner, described as the victim’s acquaintance, had allegedly lured her to travel to Jhalawar on February 25th to get her a school bag as a gift. There they handed her over to some other people, who took her to a house, a hotel, an under-construction building and a farm and sexually harassed her. She was set free on 5th March. The victim and her mother approached the police and complained, following which a case was registered.

Police refuse to lodge a missing person report

Such policemen should be sacked from their jobs. A case should be registered against them and they must be put behind bars. Had the police entertained the complaint and searched for the girl, the girl would have been found earlier and spared the ordeal.

The victim’s brother alleged that he was driven away by the police when he tried to lodge a missing person complaint with them.
