Ukraine has been targeting Russia’s oil production facilities and energy infrastructure. According to reports, this strategy has disrupted Russia’s fuel supplies and military logistics. As a result, Russia’s battlefield operations have slowed, and pressure on President Vladimir Putin has increased.
The large-scale attack came only hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered a “40-day impact campaign”. The campaign is believed to be aimed at intensifying attacks to force Russia to end the war. It is also being reported that Zelenskyy took this step after a year of US-led peace efforts failed to produce any tangible results.
