The Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a major operation against Maoists in Malkangiri forest area of the State. The BSF had received intelligence about a Maoist camp in the Kaimela area.
A senior BSF officer in Punjab said cross-border smuggling of drugs and arms has continued through use of drones despite India having repeatedly raised the issue with Pakistan.
The Indian Government should learn from Singapore, which executes drug traffickers.
