A massive stock of arms and ammunition seized from a Maoists base in Odisha

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) – The Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a major operation against Maoists in Malkangiri forest area of the State. The BSF had received intelligence about a Maoist camp in the Kaimela area. Based on the information, BSF had undertaken a search operation, wherein the soldiers seized a large number of advanced weapons, ammunition, rocket launchers etc.

A few days ago, in a similar operation, BSF soldiers destroyed a camp of Maoists in Marigetta village of Malkangiri. A large stock of arms and ammunition was also seized at that time. Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently visited the State of Odisha. During the visit, he praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s efforts to counter Maoist activities.
