Surat (Gujarat) – Gujarat Police said they have recovered 80 kg of cocaine, worth nearly ₹800 crore, dumped on the shore of a creek passing from Mithi Rohar village near the Gandhidham town, Kutch District. Superintendent of Police, Kutch-East division Sagar Bagmar said the drug packets were perhaps left behind by smugglers to avoid getting caught by the Police. The Police were already active in the region after receiving a tip-off about the delivery of a drug consignment.

The Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi said no other State has recovered the cocaine more than Gujarat has recovered this year. The investigation is carried out taking into consideration where the cocaine is supplied in such a huge quantity. The Gujarat Police is successful in arresting culprits who have international connections.
