Maryland (USA) – The Francis Scott Key Bridge over the Patapsco River in Baltimore was hit by a cargo ship and collapsed in the accident 2 days ago. The US Government has praised the crew on this ship in this matter. Realising about ship’s impending crash to the bridge, the crew immediately informed the administration. Following this, the administration immediately blocked the traffic on the bridge and a major accident was averted. Currently 6 people are missing due to this accident, and they have been declared dead as they could not be found despite searching for them. This cargo ship was from Singapore and was going to Sri Lanka. All the crew on this ship are Indians.

Baltimore Police said, ‘There is no evidence that the ship intentionally targeted the Francis Scott Key Bridge’. The United States’ investigative agency, the FBI, has also been involved in the investigation of the accident. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
