Khalistanis mention Prime Minister Modi as ‘terrorist’ on a signboard in Canada

Brampton (Canada) – Khalistani wrote that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a ‘terrorist’ on a signboard in ‘Shri Bhagavad Gita Park’ in Brampton, Canada. When city workers here noticed it, they immediately erased these words and restored the sign to its original state. Khalistan supporters will hold a referendum for Khalistan on 16th July in Mississauga, Canada. Since this incident happened before that, it is said that Khalistani supporters are behind it. The name of this park was changed to ‘Shri Bhagavad Gita Park’ a few months back. Idols of Deities will also be installed here. It will also have an Idol of Shrikrushna and Arjun riding on a chariot.

The City of Brampton tweeted about the incident, saying, “The City is deeply disappointed to learn of the recent act of vandalism targeting a park sign, which is an attack on a faith of a community. The matter has been forwarded to the Police. Unfortunately, no one has been arrested yet in connection with such previous incidents in the area. (Should this be called inaction of Canadian Police or the attitude to back Khalistanis ? – Editor) At city of Brampton, we stand united against such acts of intolerance and discrimination. We proudly uphold our values of diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all and these acts of hate will not be tolerated.”

City mayor, Patrick Brown, said the city has a zero-tolerance policy for those who intimidate any faith or community.

Earlier on 7th July, there was an incident of placing a poster targeting Indian diplomats outside the ‘Bharat Mata Mandir’ in Brampton city. Also, pro-Khalistani slogans were written.

Editorial Viewpoints

Canada has now become a ‘Khalistani country’ and its Hindus and their religious places have become unsafe. India needs to take a strict stance on this now.
