New Delhi – Threats given out by Khalistanis to Indian embassy officials in Canada do not constitute as freedom of expression but an act of terrorism. Arindham Bagchi the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs of India has reprimanded the Canadian Government, saying that the safety of our Ambassadors is of the utmost importance for our Government. He also enquired about the security of the Ambassadors of the US, Australia and Britain and mentioned that he has discussed this matter with the Governments of other countries. He said, “Some people have expressed their opinion, and we are expecting others to follow suit.”

Bagchi said, “We have expressed our concerns to the Canadian Government because we have read the statement made by the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He has called this threat a ‘Freedom of expression’.
